Art Lessons with Avery Standard

At Aspire Music Academy, we’re proud to support creativity in all its forms — and that includes visual art!

We're excited to announce that students can now take art lessons with professional artist Avery Standard, bringing expert instruction to students of all ages and skill levels.

Avery is a self-taught oil painter based in Montgomery, Texas, known for his evocative landscape and equine artwork that combines atmospheric depth with expressive color and tone. His work reflects a thoughtful blend of mood, observation, and mastery of painting fundamentals, developed through years of practice and artistic exploration.

What You’ll Learn

Avery’s lessons are customized around each student’s goals, making them perfect whether you’re just beginning or looking to deepen your artistic skills. Students can expect to learn:

• Fundamental drawing techniques

• Observational skills and composition

• Color theory and mixing

• Painting with oil and other media

• Safe and effective studio practices

Lessons are designed to be engaging, supportive, and tailored — helping students grow their confidence alongside their artistic ability.

Lesson Details

Avery offers weekly or biweekly sessions in his Montgomery studio by Hwy 105, with scheduling and pacing built around your student’s learning needs. Materials can be discussed and provided as needed, and one-time trial lessons are available if you’re deciding where to begin. 

Whether you’re exploring art for the first time or sharpening your technique, these lessons provide a welcoming place to learn, create, and express your unique artistic voice.
